MIP-017: Final MPL Conversion Window and Strategic Use of Unconverted Tokens

Mine says “withdraw cash,” but not on the individual token. Only on the overall portfolio.

I sincerely appreciate your efforts.

Thanks!

Ric…

What happens if you click the transfer button on the app’s portfolio screen, then select the wallet you want to transfer to, then click on your Maple tokens?

Don’t give up brother!
You still have plenty of time.

There is no “transfer” button, anywhere in the Coinbase app. Besides “buy,” “Sell,” and “Convert,” there are only “send crypto,” “receive crypto,” “deposit cash,” and “send cash.” These all appear on any token in my assets EXCEPT Maple.

When I click on my MPL assets, only a “send” button appears, as in this grab:

I clicked on the “send crypto” button, and the prompt appears, telling me, “You have no Maple to send.” But you can see that I have 305.7490137 MPL in my portfolio.

None of this makes any sense. Maple Finance should have coordinated this migration window with Coinbase and any other exchanges, to make sure assets are transferable, but this seems to have been overlooked.

I appreciate your efforts, but I am done.

Thanks!

When I click on “See balance summary,” I get this prompt:

The rest of the page is white, with no buttons to select.

Ric…

What did I miss? Yesterday, I noticed no Sell Maple Button in the Coinbase App. Only a transfer button. After reading, I learned that there was a conversion from Maple to Syrup… then found that the Convert link was a redirect to Maple… Incredibly convoluted. Anyway, for what’s worth to anyone else, (please DYOR 1st, because I don’t know if this is correct) but I transferred all MAPLE to a Coinbase Wallet and then used “Swap” to SYRUP (it was ETH-based). I swapped 39MPL to 1992 SYRUP for only about $5-$10 in ETH fees. The USD value was about 1:1. I’m unsure why or how this worked if the “conversion window” was closed, but it did. That’s 50:1 conversation (50 SY for 1 MP), (this says we would get a 100:1 - MIP-010: SYRUP Token Launch and MPL <> SYRUP Conversion). Please let me know how/why this worked, and I do hope this helps someone else.

Now that Maple is Syrup and Syrup is Maple, or whatever, I think I’m still due the other 50:1. How do I claim those?

Unfortunately you didn’t actually “convert” your tokens, you swapped Maple for Syrup tokens on the open market at whatever the market price was at the time. If this was done after the conversion deadline closed, it is likely that you received less than 100:1 as the price of Maple started dropping instantly after the deadline as they are now worthless. You should have went to the official conversion portal on the Syrup webapp to do a proper conversion that would have been 100:1.

Anyone that is still holding MPL, it is likely your best bet to swap whatever you can on Uniswap before the token hits 0.

Any last hopes for the folks left that did not hit the conversions? I would hate to swap and loose value. Please understand, like many on these threads are mentioning that when you HLD tokens in cold storage you are a long term investor like myself bought MPL in 2022 and been with you ever since. I hold many coins and to keep up on the coin changes without auto swap is difficult. 7.3MIL market cap still on MPL. Please consider another open swap period since the initial plan was much better of 3 years’ time frame. Looking forward to your response.

Mapes,

Following the governance approval of MIP-017, the SSF setup process has been initiated and the 7 day smart contract timer has been enacted.

The entire process will be completed in the next 10 days with the SYRUP tokens allocated to the treasury to be used for liquidity initiatives and growth programs.

Once the SSF is live the Maple team will provide an update.

A majority of shareholders voting to steal from a passive minority of shareholders is still theft.
